GALVESTON —Elizabeth Ann Millo, 90, met her Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday, March 29, 2014. She was born on August 26, 1923 in Galveston.
She was greeted at the Pearly Gates by her husband, Harry S. Millo, Sr., and her children, Charles Lee Millo, Michael Randall Millo, and Mary Lou Huepers. Other members of the welcome committee included her parents, siblings, and her favorite Country Artist, George Jones, who was singing, “She’s My Rock.”
Left to celebrate and honor her life on earth are her children, Anita Palfrey, Connie Short, Paul Millo, and Harry Millo, Jr. Other celebrants include her brothers, Frankie Cole and Randolph Cole, nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, friends, family and her furry companion, Mollie.
She is affectionately known as Aunt Liz, Goodie, Grandma, and Mom. She enjoyed country dancing, the fresh air of the Ozark Mountains, and her final vacation in Las Vegas. Her daily pleasures were simple, visiting with friends and family, and reading the newspaper while dipping buttered toast in a good cup of coffee. She could always be seen dancing through the house with a broom in her hands; her floors were immaculate.
Visitation will be at J. Levy & Termini Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 1, 2014, from 5:00PM to 8:00PM, with a Rosary beginning at 7:00PM., with Deacon Henry Herrera officiating. A Catholic Mass will begin at 10AM, Wednesday April 2, 2014, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Galveston, with Father John Taosan officiating, followed by a procession to Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery.
